I've seen a patient, a very weird one. He was coming out of hospital, looking severely ill. He had to visit the clinic on daily basses, for he needed constant treatment to control his disease. He had established a good relationship with the hospital's staff and nurses. Because of his severe illness, he grew a a strong relationship with the doctor whom he needed very much.
The relationship later on evolved into a deep friendship.
They had to see each other everyday!
He had to stick to this doctor.
His life was bonded to that person!
The foolish patient then went to one of his friends, and strange enough he was boasting about it!!!
- "You know, I go to the hospital everyday!!"
- "You know that famous doctor there? I know him personally. There is no day, not a single one, that passes and I don;t see him!"
Foolish, huh?!
We do the same every time we boast about being in church, or knowing saints, or having a personal relationship with Jesus. We down-look others cause they don't have the relationship with God as strong as ours!!
If you have any of these... it's only because you were so sick, and it was due to the hospital's grace that they admitted you. It was due to the doctor's goodness and mercy that He saw you of terrible need for medication..
You have nothing to be boasting about... ill patient...
