وبغير مثل لم يكن يكلمهم.....The Parable of Snowflakes

33 With many similar parables Jesus spoke the word to them, as much as they could understand.34 He did not say anything to them without using a parable. But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything.
(Mark 4: 33-34)

Jesus always used tangible "examples" of the everyday life of people to explain to them some intangible thoughts and concepts. And this approach works fine up to our day. He just did the same with me! He told me the parable of Snowflakes

Now, living in Canada, it is not uncommon to see snow. When I saw it for the first time and saw the snowflakes, I was amazed! It is these ice crystals which falls through the Earth's atmosphere.

Snowflake formation:To make a long story short, it all starts with a piece of dust up in clouds, where water droplets gather around it... and as it descends through the different layers of air till it hits the ground, it gets formed. These complex shapes emerge as the flake moves through differing temperature and humidity regimes, such that individual snowflakes are nearly unique in structure. Ok, cool... so what?!

Snowflakes uniqueness is the key to the parable:

- "No two snowflakes are alike"
 - Ok.... that's interesting.
-  Do you know why?
Because each one gets formed in different circumstances.... the humidity, the temperature, the pressure it goes through in its trip from clouds to Earth is nearly impossible to be the same for two snowflakes.
- Ok... I am impressed, but what do you want to say?
- You know when I tell you that each humanbeing is unique?
- Yes
- Which flake in the above images is "prettier"?
- Emm.. each is amazing in its own!
- So are you. Each human of you gets formed through a very unique set of circumstances, experiences, encounters, difficulties, pressure.
Just the same as each flake goes through a unique set of circumstances in its journey from heavens to earth, so does each person go through a unique set of circumstances in his/her journey from earth to heaven.
Appreciate your uniqueness... and never judge a flake (a person)'s appearance. You never know what circumstances caused this formation.
